In February 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Winston Churchill, 1941 by Yousuf Karsh. The »bidding war« ended at USD 13,200.00 (€ 11,069.18), 47% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yousuf Karsh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fifteen Portraits, which sold at auction in April 2013 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 37,970.84).

Im Februar 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Winston Churchill, 1941 von Yousuf Karsh zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 13.200,00 (€ 11.069,18) und damit 47% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Yousuf Karsh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fifteen Portraits beobachtet, die im April 2013 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 37.970,84) versteigert wurde.
