Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vuyelwa Makubetse, KwaThema Community Hot Springs, Johannesburg (from Faces and Phases) by Zanele Muholi was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,048.00 (€ 5,739.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate.
