In the pulsating metropolises of Santiago de Chile, New York City and Berlin, the painter Susanna Storch rummages around for quiet, private stories that take place on balconies and behind windows. For Storch, facades are more than just outer boundaries; it is the fascinating complexity, the permeability that captivates her. The artist is particularly taken with windows - they are the main protagonists in her works. Sometimes they reflect the world outside, while the secrets of the interiors remain cleverly concealed. At other times, they provide fleeting glimpses into people's private worlds, captured as if in passing. Storch photographs real events, which then become paintings. The Galerie Palais Walderdorff in Trier is showing works from the current series FACADES in Susanna Storch – MAPPING CITY LIFE. The exhibition runs from February 23 to March 23.

Susanna Storch, a participant in the Art.Salon artist program, has her roots in Mainz, where she lives and works as a freelance artist. She has already explored cities in Europe, North and South America for her FACADES series. Her works have not only received recognition at art fairs in Cologne, Karlsruhe, Berlin, Bristol and Helsinki, but have also been honored in gallery exhibitions in cities such as Venice, London, Krakow and New Orleans.Art.Salon
