On 30 October, the Kunstmuseum St. Gallen will host Marie Lund, the first show of works by the Danish artist of the same name in Switzerland. Curated by Nadia Veronese, visitors will be able to view Lund's new sculptural works until 20 March 2022, which focus on special features of architecture. The works are mounted directly on the ceiling construction and columns of the exhibition space and thus address the transitions from one surface to the next. In addition, works by other artists have been integrated into the exhibition to initiate conversations. Thus, a half-figure by Hans Josephsohn can be found in the outdoor space of the Kunstmuseum, while photographs by Frederik Worm along with a performance by Cally Spooner are intended to contribute to questioning Lund's sculpture in terms of temporality and topicality inside the exhibition spaces.

Born in Denmark in 1976, Marie Lund studied at the Royal College of Art in London and now lives and works in Copenhagen. The artist is primarily concerned with plastic art. Her sculptures reveal her interest in the transformation of materials and forms. Lund's work has been exhibited widely nationally and internationally, including at Holsterbro Kunstmuseum (Holsterbro), Museo Marino Marini (Florence), Palais de Tokyo (Paris), Museum Kunstpalast (Düsseldorf) and Tate Britain (London).Art.Salon

For the first time, an exhibition of the painter’s work is coming to the United Kingdom: Waldmüller: Landscapes opens on July 2 at the National Gallery in London.
