Gabriele Weide and Chris Wehrmann at »Art Artist«
The innovative art fair Art Artist, which has been taking place since 2023, is held in parallel to Art Düsseldorf. This year, Gabriele Weide and Chris Wehrmann from the Art.Salon artist program will also be presenting some works there. Art Artist runs from April 11 to 13 also in Düsseldorf and is open from 2 pm to 10 pm.
Museums of the Ruhr region in one exhibition
21 museums are taking part in an extraordinary special exhibition that can be seen from April 11: 21 x 21. Die RuhrKunstMuseen auf dem Hügel brings together works of art from the participating museums in the Ruhr region. The exhibition will be shown at Villa Hügel in Essen and can also be explored digitally in an expanded form.
Bas Jan Ader: more than the myth

Bas Jan Ader's work is dominated by his mysterious disappearance in the Atlantic Ocean during an artist's journey in 1975. 50 years later, the Hamburger Kunsthalle is dedicating an exhibition to him from April 11: a rare opportunity to discover Ader's oeuvre on such a large scale.
Images against the flood of images
Robert Longo develops his monumental charcoal drawings in very time-consuming processes. He demonstrates to society the value of slowness and calls for a more intensive contemplation of images. His works can be seen at the Louisiana Museum of Art in Humblebæk from April 11.
Between the lines
The world of lines and spaces in between: by superimposing and transcending lines, the artist Anja Mamero creates dynamic paintings with unique structures and colors. On April 13, her exhibition Anja Mamero. In between opens at the Stehr Gallery in Tornesch.
Distorted photography
The Kunstverein Husum und Umgebung e.V. presents two artists who use photography as the basis for their artworks: In Werkschau. Frauke Petersen and Karen Seggelke, a total of almost 80 works are on display. The exhibition opens on April 13 at Husum Town Hall.
Neglected facets of American identity
It is the first major museum exhibition of an important American artist: the Whitney Museum of American Art is presenting works by Amy Sherald from 2007 to the present. Amy Sherald: American Sublime opens in New York on April 9.
The architecture of color
The Berlin art forum ep.contemporary presents a new member: Henning Haupt, who also participates in the Art.Salon artist program, is showing recent paintings in Magenta Growing Strong, in which the color itself becomes form-defining. The exhibition opens on April 10.
Mysterious Ghosts
In Fabian Eichstaedt's works, nothing seems fixed – and yet everything appears to be precisely set. His striking paintings in strict black and white arise purely from the gesture, without reference or motif, but they still seem full of meaning. Free compositions with a hidden principle, a playing field of energy and structure that wants to be explored.
Identity and perception
From April 10 to 26, the Lite-Haus Gallery in Berlin is showing selected artistic positions in the exhibition Women. Elvira Flamm from the Art.Salon artist program is also represented with four works from her series Icons without names. The vernissage is on April 10 at 6 pm.
