Since 1974, FIAC has been one of the most important dates of the year among contemporary art galleries worldwide. From painting, sculpture and photography to performances and digital art, all media are exhibited. This year, more than 160 galleries are participating from 25 countries, 32 of which are participating for the first time. The galleries are also represented in the Online Viewing Room, which can be visited for the second time in parallel with the physical fair. Another about 50 galleries are exhibiting exclusively online.

Due to renovations at the previous Grand Palais location in Paris, FIAC will be held at the Grand Palais Ephémère on the Champs de Mars in the immediate vicinity of the Eiffel Tower from this year until probably 2023. The Grand Palais Ephémère was built specifically to host these and other events until the Grand Palais reopens in 2024.

In addition to the main sector with numerous prestigious galleries, there will again be the popular »Hors les Murs« program, where works of art and architectural projects will be exhibited over a length of about three kilometers from the Grand Palais Ephémère to the Jardin des Tuileries and Place Vendôme. Once again, the fair organizers will also present the design sector, which has been part of FIAC since 2017, and the »Young Galleries« sector. Ten selected newcomer galleries are allowed to present themselves here at more favorable participation costs. Thus, FIAC 2021 seems to become a worthwhile experience for collectors and other art enthusiasts, not only because of the new location.Art.Salon

For the first time, an exhibition of the painter’s work is coming to the United Kingdom: Waldmüller: Landscapes opens on July 2 at the National Gallery in London.
