Artwork auctioned at six times the upper estimate price
When the work Sans titre by Aboudia was auctioned at Christies in Paris in May last year, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 50,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than six times as high at EUR 327,600.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Aboudia; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in July last year with the realized price of GBP 504,000.00 (€ 601,865.52).
Kunstwerk zum Sechsfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Sans titre von Aboudia im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 50.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 327.600,00 mehr als sechsmal so hoch. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Aboudia; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juli letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 504.000,00 (€ 601.865,52).
