Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ghost Buddy Abduction with late Afternoon Weepy Tulips by Adam Handler was sold in the 20th/21st Century Art Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in July this year. The price achieved of HKD 126,000 (€ 15,722) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as HKD 80,000 - 150,000. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Adam Handler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ghost Abduction in a Lost Flower Garden, which sold at auction in March this year for HKD 441,000 (€ 50,767).

Die Arbeit Ghost Buddy Abduction with late Afternoon Weepy Tulips von Adam Handler wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 126.000 (€ 15.722) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000 – 150.000 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Adam Handler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ghost Abduction in a Lost Flower Garden beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für HKD 441.000 (€ 50.767) versteigert wurde.
