Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Le Déjeuner Sur L'Herbe by Alain Jacquet was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in December 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 23,550.00. Admittedly, works by Alain Jacquet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La vierge et l'enfant in June 2017 with an auction result of EUR 112,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Le Déjeuner Sur L'Herbe von Alain Jacquet im Dezember 2011 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 23.550,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alain Jacquet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La vierge et l'enfant im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 112.500,00.
