Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Portrait de Louis Chavignier by Alberto Giacometti was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Works on Paper Sale auction at Christies in New York in November 2017. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 52,500.00 (€ 44,125.06). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alberto Giacometti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'homme au doigt in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 141,285,000.00 (€ 128,511,006.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Portrait de Louis Chavignier von Alberto Giacometti wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Works on Paper Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 52.500,00 (€ 44.125,06) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alberto Giacometti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'homme au doigt im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 141.285.000,00 (€ 128.511.006,00).
