This artwork by Alex Israel achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in October 2021. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Untitled (flat) sold for GBP 163,800.00 (€ 194,058.76) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alex Israel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sky Backdrop, which sold at auction in May 2014 for USD 1,025,000.00 (€ 751,466.28).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alex Israel erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Untitled (flat) für GBP 163.800,00 (€ 194.058,76) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alex Israel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sky Backdrop beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für USD 1.025.000,00 (€ 751.466,28) versteigert wurde.
