Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Works on Paper Sale, which included the work Don Quixote by Alfred Kubin. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,828.88). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Kubin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Der letzte König in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 525,000.00 (€ 429,272.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Works on Paper Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Don Quixote von Alfred Kubin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.828,88) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Kubin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Der letzte König im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 525.000,00 (€ 429.272,28).
