Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mary Shoemaker by Alice Neel was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2010. The price achieved of GBP 181,250.00 (€ 208,984.09) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 160,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alice Neel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dr. Finger’S Waiting Room in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 3,030,000.00 (€ 2,484,828.60).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 181.250,00 (€ 208.984,09) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 160.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden.
