Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Le Guitariste by André Derain. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 48,500.00 (€ 63,436.10), 21% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by André Derain achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Arbres À Collioure in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 16,281,250.00 (€ 19,799,515.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Guitariste von André Derain zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 48.500,00 (€ 63.436,10) und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von André Derain erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Arbres À Collioure im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.281.250,00 (€ 19.799.515,40).
