Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Paysage aux environs de la Ciotat by André Derain was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale auction at Christies in London in July 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 35,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 37,500.00 (€ 43,976.53). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by André Derain achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Arbres À Collioure in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 16,281,250.00 (€ 19,799,515.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Paysage aux environs de la Ciotat von André Derain wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 35.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 37.500,00 (€ 43.976,53) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von André Derain erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Arbres À Collioure im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.281.250,00 (€ 19.799.515,40).
