Upper estimate price exceeded by 35 %.
The work Mick Jagger, from Mick Jagger Portfolio by Andy Warhol was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in London in June this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 108,350.00 (€ 126,100.75), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Andy Warhol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shot Sage Blue Marilyn in May last year with an auction result of USD 195,040,000.00 (€ 181,753,797.41).
