Auction result misses estimated price range
In November last year a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Anish Kapoor for USD 94,500.00 (€ 91,543.16). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anish Kapoor achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 1,945,250.00 (€ 2,471,462.02).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Anish Kapoor für USD 94.500,00 (€ 91.543,16) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anish Kapoor erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juli 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.945.250,00 (€ 2.471.462,02).
