Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Philip Johnson, Glass House, New Canaan, Connecticut, 2000 by Annie Leibovitz. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,234.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Annie Leibovitz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Keith Haring, New York City in April 2016 with an auction result of USD 93,750.00 (€ 81,942.14).
