Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December last year Christies in Paris held the auction Art contemporain, which included the work Matèria i roig by Antoni Tàpies. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 300,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 302,400.00. Admittedly, works by Antoni Tàpies have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gran ocra amb incisions (Large Ochre with Incisions) in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 1,650,500.00 (€ 2,081,799.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Art contemporain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Matèria i roig von Antoni Tàpies zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 300.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 302.400,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antoni Tàpies auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gran ocra amb incisions (Large Ochre with Incisions) im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.650.500,00 (€ 2.081.799,44).
