In October 2010 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary ArtEvening Auction, which included the work Ocre i negre amb tela encolada (Ochre and Black with Pasted on Cloth) by Antoni Tàpies. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 433,250.00 (€ 499,544.05), 44% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Antoni Tàpies have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gran ocra amb incisions (Large Ochre with Incisions) in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 1,650,500.00 (€ 2,081,799.44).

Im Oktober 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary ArtEvening Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ocre i negre amb tela encolada (Ochre and Black with Pasted on Cloth) von Antoni Tàpies zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 433.250,00 (€ 499.544,05) und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Antoni Tàpies auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gran ocra amb incisions (Large Ochre with Incisions) im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.650.500,00 (€ 2.081.799,44).
