This artwork by Antony Gormley achieved an unexpectedly high price at Il Ponte in November last year. In the Arte moderna e contemporanea auction, the work without title sold for EUR 6,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Antony Gormley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Case for an Angel I in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 5,296,250.00 (€ 6,038,761.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 86 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Antony Gormley erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Il Ponte einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Arte moderna e contemporanea wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für EUR 6.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Antony Gormley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Case for an Angel I im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.296.250,00 (€ 6.038.761,70).
