Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work A Breezy Day by Arthur Reginald Smith was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 312.00 (€ 456.73). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Arthur Reginald Smith - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sunset Glow, Kettleworth, which sold at auction in July 2006 for GBP 660.00 (€ 966.16).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit A Breezy Day von Arthur Reginald Smith im Juli 2006 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 312,00 (€ 456,73) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Arthur Reginald Smith mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sunset Glow, Kettleworth beobachtet, die im Juli 2006 für GBP 660,00 (€ 966,16) versteigert wurde.
