Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Dimanche I by Auguste Herbin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 62,500.00 (€ 55,649.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Auguste Herbin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Route De Montagne En Corse in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 855,000.00 (€ 732,647.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dimanche I von Auguste Herbin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 55.649,54) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Auguste Herbin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Route De Montagne En Corse im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 855.000,00 (€ 732.647,81).
