Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Automne Dans Les Jardins Du Kremlin by Bernard Cathelin was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,292.00 (€ 4,543.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Bernard Cathelin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bougainvilliea Et Begonia À La Table Rouge in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 32,500.00 (€ 23,826.98).
