Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art, which included the work La Ferme De La Plaine, Montéléger by Bernard Cathelin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,784.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bernard Cathelin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bougainvilliea Et Begonia À La Table Rouge, which sold at auction in May 2014 for USD 32,500.00 (€ 23,826.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Ferme De La Plaine, Montéléger von Bernard Cathelin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.784,51) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Bernard Cathelin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bougainvilliea Et Begonia À La Table Rouge beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für USD 32.500,00 (€ 23.826,98) versteigert wurde.
