Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Maison De Thé by Bernard Cathelin for USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,360.07). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bernard Cathelin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bougainvilliea Et Begonia À La Table Rouge, which sold at auction in May 2014 for USD 32,500.00 (€ 23,826.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Maison De Thé von Bernard Cathelin für USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.360,07) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Bernard Cathelin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bougainvilliea Et Begonia À La Table Rouge beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für USD 32.500,00 (€ 23.826,98) versteigert wurde.
