Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Berthe Morisot achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2016. In the Impressionist & Modern Art Works on Paper auction, the work Avant le bain sold for USD 118,750.00 (€ 106,645.71) - well above the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Berthe Morisot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme et enfant au balcon in February 2017 with an auction result of GBP 4,085,000.00 (€ 4,780,965.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Berthe Morisot erzielte im Mai 2016 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Avant le bain für USD 118.750,00 (€ 106.645,71) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Berthe Morisot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme et enfant au balcon im Februar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.085.000,00 (€ 4.780.965,81).
