This artwork by Berthe Morisot achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May last year. In the 20th Century Evening Sale auction, the work Julie rêveuse sold for USD 3,180,000.00 (€ 2,963,377.13) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,500,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Berthe Morisot; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Femme et enfant au balcon sold at auction in February 2017 with the realized price of GBP 4,085,000.00 (€ 4,780,965.81).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Berthe Morisot erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Julie rêveuse für USD 3.180.000,00 (€ 2.963.377,13) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.500.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Berthe Morisot; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Femme et enfant au balcon im Februar 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 4.085.000,00 (€ 4.780.965,81).
