Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Hard, Fast and Beautiful by Cecily Brown was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 499,000.00 (€ 591,180.23), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cecily Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (The Beautiful and Damned) in May this year with an auction result of USD 6,705,000.00 (€ 6,293,410.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Hard, Fast and Beautiful von Cecily Brown kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 499.000,00 (€ 591.180,23) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cecily Brown erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (The Beautiful and Damned) im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.705.000,00 (€ 6.293.410,93).
