Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Uli Sigg as an apec, congress delegation member by Chang Xugong was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in January 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 22,680.00 (€ 2,410.98) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Chang Xugong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait No.1 in October 2007 with an auction result of HKD 211,500.00 (€ 18,857.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Uli Sigg as an apec, congress delegation member von Chang Xugong kam im Januar 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 22.680,00 (€ 2.410,98) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Chang Xugong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait No.1 im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 211.500,00 (€ 18.857,82).
