Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Charles White achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in May 2021. In the Contemporary Art Evening Auction auction, the work The Ingram Case sold for USD 1,472,000.00 (€ 1,207,151.06) - well above the upper estimate of USD 700,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Charles White; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Ye Shall Inherit The Earth sold at auction in November 2019 with the realized price of USD 1,760,000.00 (€ 1,597,241.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles White erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Auction wurde die Arbeit The Ingram Case für USD 1.472.000,00 (€ 1.207.151,06) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 700.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Charles White; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Ye Shall Inherit The Earth im November 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 1.760.000,00 (€ 1.597.241,13).
