Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Young Woman (Head) by Charles White was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in March last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,873.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles White achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ye Shall Inherit The Earth in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 1,760,000.00 (€ 1,597,241.13).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Young Woman (Head) von Charles White wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.187,50 (€ 2.873,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles White erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ye Shall Inherit The Earth im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.760.000,00 (€ 1.597.241,13).
