Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Small, Square Monochrome #1505 by Christian Eckart was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,780.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Christian Eckart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work White Painting #615 in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 21,582.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Small, Square Monochrome #1505 von Christian Eckart kam im April 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.780,69) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christian Eckart auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit White Painting #615 im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 21.582,36).
