Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Black Hut by Christian Ward for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,255.33). This price was achieved in the auction Under the Influence at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Christian Ward - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Desert Hole, which sold at auction in September 2011 for USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,900.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Black Hut von Christian Ward für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.255,33) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Under the Influence bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Christian Ward mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Desert Hole beobachtet, die im September 2011 für USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.900,22) versteigert wurde.
