This artwork by Claude Viallat achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in December 2018. In the Art Contemporain Day Sale auction, the work without title sold for EUR 27,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Claude Viallat - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sans Titre, which sold at auction in May 2021 for EUR 75,600.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Claude Viallat erzielte im Dezember 2018 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art Contemporain Day Sale wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für EUR 27.500,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Claude Viallat mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sans Titre beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für EUR 75.600,00 versteigert wurde.
