The work Sunworld Dynasty Hotel Taipei by Cui Jie was sold in the 21st Century Art Day Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May this year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 630,000.00 (€ 75,512.48), 26% above the upper estimate. Other works by Cui Jie have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 1,197,000.00 (€ 143,473.72) in May this year for the work Kunming Long-distance Telecom Hub Building.
