Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Swiss Family Traveling by Dana Schutz was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Phillips in New York in June last year. The price achieved of USD 1,482,000 (€ 1,250,844) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as USD 1,200,000 - 1,800,000. Admittedly, works by Dana Schutz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elevator in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 50,050,000 (€ 5,279,191).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Swiss Family Traveling von Dana Schutz wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.482.000 (€ 1.250.844) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.200.000 – 1.800.000 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dana Schutz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Elevator im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 50.050.000 (€ 5.279.191).
