Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Diane Arbus could be acquired at Christies in New York in April this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Two girls with their grandfather in Central Park, N.Y. C. 1962 changed hands for USD 13,860.00 (€ 12,554.35) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Diane Arbus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A box of ten photographs in May this year with an auction result of USD 1,008,000.00 (€ 946,123.52).
In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Two girls with their grandfather in Central Park, N.Y.
