Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Didier Massard could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work The Corals changed hands for USD 1,750.00 (€ 1,562.36) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Didier Massard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La Cathédrale Engloutie, 2012, which sold at auction in May last year for EUR 5,040.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Didier Massard konnte im April 2019 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit The Corals für USD 1.750,00 (€ 1.562,36) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Didier Massard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La Cathédrale Engloutie, 2012 beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für EUR 5.040,00 versteigert wurde.
