In November 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern Evening Auction, which included the work Nature morte aux trois citrons jaunes by Diego Rivera. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,287,000.00 (€ 2,912,199.88), 31% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Diego Rivera have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Rivals in November last year with an auction result of USD 14,130,000.00 (€ 13,687,881.43).

Im November 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern Evening Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Nature morte aux trois citrons jaunes von Diego Rivera zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.287.000,00 (€ 2.912.199,88) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Diego Rivera auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Rivals im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 14.130.000,00 (€ 13.687.881,43).
