Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Edgar Plans. It changed hands for a price of GBP 139,700.00 (€ 160,414.41) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Edgar Plans have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Juanín in April this year with an auction result of HKD 840,000.00 (€ 857,804.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Edgar Plans zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 139.700,00 (€ 160.414,41) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Edgar Plans auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Juanín im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 840.000,00 (€ 857.804,35).
