Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sitzender Weiblicher Rückenakt (Seated Female Nude From Behind) by Egon Schiele was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2007. It achieved a price of GBP 81,600.00 (€ 121,090.30), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Egon Schiele achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Häuser Mit Bunter Wäsche (Vorstadt Ii) Houses With Laundry (Suburb Ii) in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 24,681,250.00 (€ 27,305,215.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sitzender Weiblicher Rückenakt (Seated Female Nude From Behind) von Egon Schiele kam im Juni 2007 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 81.600,00 (€ 121.090,30) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Egon Schiele erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Häuser Mit Bunter Wäsche (Vorstadt Ii) Houses With Laundry (Suburb Ii) im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.681.250,00 (€ 27.305.215,43).
