In June 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art Evening Auction, which included the work Elephant Bones by Ellen Gallagher. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 394,000.00 (€ 445,287.15), 31% above the upper estimate. Other works by Ellen Gallagher have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 987,750.00 (€ 760,509.70) in May 2013 for the work Deluxe.

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 394.000,00 (€ 445.287,15) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Ellen Gallagher haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 987.750,00 (€ 760.509,70) im Mai 2013 für die Arbeit Deluxe beobachtet.
