In December 2018 VAN HAM held the auction Discoveries, which included the work Coupe modèle Diabolo. by Ettore Sottsass. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 555.00 39% above the estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ettore Sottsass achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composizione di elementi di legno colorato e specchio, il tutto unito da funi di canapa, designed for Galleria Arform, Milan in April 2018 with an auction result of GBP 309,000.00 (€ 351,918.09).
Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2018 führte VAN HAM die Auktion Discoveries durch, in der auch die Arbeit Coupe modèle Diabolo. von Ettore Sottsass zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 555,00 und damit 39% über dem Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ettore Sottsass erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composizione di elementi di legno colorato e specchio, il tutto unito da funi di canapa, designed for Galleria Arform, Milan im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 309.000,00 (€ 351.918,09).
