Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 5,875.00 (€ 6,620.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eve Arnold - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Marilyn, 1955-1960, which sold at auction in December 2008 for USD 31,250.00 (€ 22,451.33).
