Upper estimate price exceeded by 34 %.
In May 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Perdreau Rouge by François Pompon. The »bidding war« ended at USD 46,875.00 (€ 36,091.01), 34% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François Pompon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ours Blanc in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 329,000.00 (€ 463,885.87).
