This price was achieved in the auction Modern British Art Day Sale at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Frank Bowling have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Beggar No. 3 in June 2019 with an auction result of GBP 695,250.00 (€ 781,564.11).
