Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Autour d'un point (E.III) by František Kupka was sold in the Impressionist/Modern & Picasso Ceramics auction at Christies in London in February 2015. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 10,341.39) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by František Kupka achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Jaillissement II (Tryskání II) in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 7,551,600.00 (€ 8,871,184.71).

Die Arbeit Autour d'un point (E.III) von František Kupka wurde im Februar 2015 in der Auktion Impressionist/Modern & Picasso Ceramics bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 10.341,39) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von František Kupka erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Jaillissement II (Tryskání II) im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.551.600,00 (€ 8.871.184,71).
