Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Koller held the auction PostWar & Contemporary, which included the work Ohne Titel. 1973. by Fred Sandback. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CHF 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of CHF 4,100.00 (€ 4,100.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fred Sandback achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Broadway Boogie Woogie (Sculptural Study, Twenty-two part Vertical Construction) in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 545,000.00 (€ 495,724.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Koller die Auktion PostWar & Contemporary durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ohne Titel. 1973. von Fred Sandback zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CHF 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CHF 4.100,00 (€ 4.100,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fred Sandback erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Broadway Boogie Woogie (Sculptural Study, Twenty-two part Vertical Construction) im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 545.000,00 (€ 495.724,94).
