Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2003 a collector was able to acquire the work A History of Fashion (Marina Schiano V) by Gian Paolo Barbieri for GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,686.73). This price was achieved in the auction PHOTOGRAPHS at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Gian Paolo Barbieri have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jill Kennington in Missoni, Port Sudan in June last year with an auction result of EUR 12,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2003 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A History of Fashion (Marina Schiano V) von Gian Paolo Barbieri für GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.686,73) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion PHOTOGRAPHS bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gian Paolo Barbieri auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jill Kennington in Missoni, Port Sudan im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 12.600,00.
